THE PROJECT:
The two piece design required high level of accuracy to create a push-tight fit, eliminating the need for fixings, fastenings or bonding. The inner moulding would be red, the outer in a silver with an option for chrome.
Protomould quickly scoped the project, completed the commercials and created immediate capacity within our on-site tooling facility. By the end of day 1, the tooling project was underway and by week 3 we had supplied sample parts and a pre-production batch.
THE RESULT:
Protomould have now supplied many of these components in both the chrome plated and metallic silver specification. The customer feedback has been excellent and has awarded Protomould more injection moulded parts.
